A very simplistic 6 Key Frame turning hand. I'm extremely pleased with how this has turned out. I completed this task using ToonBoom with a Wacom Tablet.

Acting the Goat
Acting the Goat is the Brief I've chosen to complete this week. This brief suggests drawing animals all week and then revise the drawings by stylising the animals. I am to think of them as Characters for a film and by the end of the week I should have all of my characters and create a piece involving them all on set. Let's have some fun with this!
Rough Sketch of a Cat
Stylised version
Full Name: Mr Cat
Rough Sketch of a Dog
Refined version - I liked this drawing too much as it was to continue drawing on top of it therefore I drew the head again separately and stylised the new drawing (Below)
Stylised version
Full Name: Dawg Bisquit
Sketch of a Shrimp
Stylised version of Shrimp
Stylised version - revised with Colour
Full Name: Mr Stavros Majouski
Stylised Bunny
Full Name: Snow Bell
Sketch of a Rabbit
Stylised version of Rabbit
Full Name: Mrs Blue Bell
Stylised Badger
Full Name: Boscow
Stylised stray Kitten
Full Name: Dusty
I re-drew all of the Characters and placed them on a piece of paper describing who they are.
3D Tree from basic shapes
In my most recent Drawing for animation class we were given a step by step stimulus to create a 3D looking tree by starting with basic shapes and gradually adding to the picture.
My first sketch is of basic cylinders which I eventually added branches and subtle fluency in the shape once the basic shape was there.
To start drawing my tree I adopted the same tactic but worked on one single tree as opposed to lots of tree trunks.
Tonal 3D Tree - Pencil and Charcoal
(45 Minutes)
Starting to think about adding leaves to branches

Badly Drawn Boy
The brief I chose to complete this week was called 'Badly drawn boy'. The brief suggests that each day you choose a piece of music and draw/paint/create whatever or however it makes you feel. I chose to do this particular brief now as this week I've felt very open to emotions whether they are good or bad and I believe theres only certain times where this sort of brief can be executed well, for me anyway.
My Main approach to this was to listen to the song a few times and I guess just loose myself in the music. For some songs it worked, and with others I found it really difficult to connect with them, therefore moved onto the next song. I tried to choose songs that at certain times in my life I played repeatedly, I did this because those sort of songs bring back entire memories and the type of feelings I was experiencing when I'd listen to that particular song.
Song: I Giorni - Ludovico Einaudi
Piece: Oil Painting of a Heart
Why: This particular piece of music comes with a lot of emotions from the heart. The song can make me feel happy and sad but always hits me in the same place.
Song: Indian Summer- Jai Wolf
Piece: Charcoal drawings of Dancing girls
Why: Indian Summer is funnily enough something I listened to a lot throughout the summer and not only was it the best summer I've ever had, but it was a huge change in my life and this particular song makes me feel very free, active and positive.
